Raster/Grid Layer

Documentation | Help File | Layer Properties Control | Raster/Grid layer

This is a description of the Layer Properties dialog box layout specific to grid layers. Use it to modify gird layer color ramp or shadowing.

Operations

List of all operations based on items in a left panel.

General

The General node covers general information about the layer.

Height range
Name Description
Minimum value Enforce other minimum value represented by layer than the embedded one. Useful if layer has value improperly set.
Maximum value Enforce other maximum value represented by layer than the embedded one. Useful if layer has value improperly set.
Interpretation Enforce interpretation of the file as grid or pixel layer.
Parameters are common and are described here.

Sections

The Sections node summarizes information about sections visibility.

Section

The Section node contains subnodes for specific layer properties.

Name Description
Parameters are common and are here.

Grid

The Grid node contains all properties to specify the grid layer appearance.

Grid
Name Description
Grid band An option to select different band to be used for grid channel.
Shadow If checked that pseudo-shadow will be added so rendered grid will just look better.
Antialiasing If checked grid will be drawn antialiased. It is especially visible on scales when a grid pixel is bigger than a screen pixel.
Height threshold
Values outside the threshold will not be drawn. This option allows defining a slice of the grid.
Name Description
Minimum value Minimum rendered value.
Maximum value Minimum rendered value.
Ramp
This option provides the ability to specify coloring based on grid value.
- Color - selected color for the zone
- Min - minimum value to for the zone
- Max - maximum value to for the zone
- Legend - if not empty that appears an text icon in the legend control.
Clicking on a color panel brings Define color to define color.y.

3D

The 3d node contains all properties to specify grid layer behavior in 3D.

Treat layer as 2D
Grid will be drawn flat on a texture which can be then wrapped on underlying DEM model (if any).
Treat layer as Elevation Model
Grid will constitute elevation model
Name Description
Normalized Z If checked value will be normalized based on current view. This option is useful if grid does not represent altitude but some artificial value (eg. statistical values) - values will altered so presentation on 3D will be possible.
Scale Z Scale values of grid by provided percentage.
False Z Fixed value to be added grid values.
This combo-box also provides access to Use field values to select attribute field with false Z value or Define color to define own.

Wizard

The Wizard button brings a simple wizard to create rendering automatically. Please refer to Grid Wizard.
