TGIS_CSProjAbstract.IsRevertible property

DK for Delphi | GisCsProjections.TGIS_CSProjAbstract.IsRevertible | Constructors | Fields | Methods | Properties

Indicates whether this projection can be reversed (inverse transformation from projected to geodetic coordinates supported).

Available also on: .NET | Java | ActiveX | Python.

Syntax

// Delphi
public
  property IsRevertible : Boolean read;
// C++ Builder
public:
  __property bool IsRevertible = {read};

Value

Type
Boolean

Remarks

PURPOSE: Determine whether Unproject/Unproject3D_Ref functions are supported. Some projections (orthographic, perspective) are one-way only.

BEHAVIOR: True for most standard projections (Mercator, UTM, Lambert, Albers, etc.). False for projections designed only for visualization (orthographic, gnomonic, etc.).

USAGE: Check IsRevertible before calling Unproject. If False, inverse transformation is not mathematically solvable.

CONSTRAINTS: Read-only; projection-class dependent.
