Clicking on the View/Full Screen menu item allows to switch between the standard mode and the the full-screen mode, i.e. maximize the area of the screen used to display the Map area. All the menus, toolbars and panels are hidden (collapsed to the screen edges), they can be showed by moving the mouse pointer over the label with the name of the interface element. The same menu entry is used to leave the full-screen mode.

To turn on/off the full-screen mode, click on the View/Full Screen menu item.
