Clicking on the File/Open from server
menu item provides the means for opening a map project or layer stored on a remote server (such as via the web using an OGC/OpenGIS protocol). The menu item invokes the Open from server
dialog box for entering the the exact path to the file on the remote server and the server's network address. When opened, the layer is automatically rendered on the Map area.
The program automatically attempts to read the coordinate system information of the newly opened layer and correctly display the layer.
