Clicking on the File/New Project menu item prepares the Editor for creation of a new project. The program closes all open layers and resets all project file settings.

To create a new project, click on the File/New Project menu item.

• The icon on the Standard toolbar.

• To open an already existing vector or raster file as a layer in a current project, use the Add feature.

• If the File/New Project function is initiated while some layers are open, Save Changes dialog box is invoked to enable the user to set the project name and path to create a new project file.
