Coordinate System Setup

Projection system

Specify option of the projected coordinate system.

Name	Description
Projection	Select the projection from the list of existing definitions. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will be narrowed.
Projection edit	This area provides the option to edit parameters specific to selected projection. Few are common like False Easting and False Northing while other are projection specific.
Unit	Select the unit from the list of existing definitions. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will be narrowed.
Geographic System	Select the geographic system from the list of existing definitions. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will be narrowed. Button `[…]` provides an option to define a new geographic system.

Specify option of the geographic coordinate system.

Name	Description
Name	Can be edited upon modifying the coordinate sytem.
Datum	Select the datum from the list of existing definitions. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will ne narrowed.
Prime Meridian	Select the prime meridian from the list of existing definitions. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will ne narrowed.
Unit	Select the unit from the list of predefined existing. By typing a few known characters from the name or EPSG number list will ne narrowed.

Specify option to fully define coordinate system as plain text WKT file. A sample of a WKT is a .prj file.

Name	Description
Pretty WKT	If checked WKYT text is formatted for easy reading.
Import	Import existing WKT file for a `.prj` file.
Import	Export current WKT file into a `.prj` file.
Edit box	Text for a WKT. Can be edited. If text goes red it means that the syntax of a provided WKT is improper.
