Abstract base class for generating grid layers from vector samples.
# Python class TGIS_VectorToGridAbstract( Object ):
→ Object
| Name | Visibility | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| __init__ | public | Creates a vector-to-grid interpolation instance. | |
| Name | Visibility | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Generate | public | Populates a grid layer with values computed from vector sample points. | |
| Name | Visibility | Description | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coordinate | public | Defines which coordinate is taken as interpolation value if the interpolation is not based on an attribute field; default is Z. | |
| DefaultValue | public | If UseDefaultValue is true, then this value will be set for each grid cell for which the interpolated value cannot be computed. | |
| UseDefaultValue | public | If true, then each grid cell for which the interpolated value cannot be computed will be set to DefaultValue. | |
PURPOSE: Provides shared infrastructure for interpolation algorithms that convert vector data into aTGIS_LayerPixel surface.
BEHAVIOR: Reads sample values from either a numeric attribute field or from Z/M-based coordinates, applies algorithm-specific processing in descendants, and can report progress throughBusyEvent.
USAGE: Configure the value source and default-value handling, then callGenerate.
interpolator.Coordinate = Z interpolator.UseDefaultValue = True interpolator.DefaultValue = 0 interpolator.Generate(srcLayer, srcExtent, fieldName, dstLayer, dstExtent)
CONSTRAINTS: Source and destination layers must be valid. If a field name is provided, it must identify a numeric source field.
